Despite this, we never got word on when or if we’d ever see Battlelog released on Apple’s iOS platform. To everyone’s surprise, EA has now released the Battleog app for the iPhone.

One such of those bugs is found with the AA missiles, which are currently having trouble locking on a target from time to time. According to DICE’s Gustav Halling (via Twitter), a PC server patch will be deployed next week, which will fix the AA issue, and include several back-end server tweaks as well. The server patch will also be deployed for consoles.

Many players have experienced joining a game, only to find out that the round is almost over. Or worse, to be met with a message “You team lost”.

Now, Battlelog will be getting live scoreboards so players can check a server’s progress, how many tickets remain, the user scores, and more. The patch will include all the fixes mentioned earlier, including the updated mini map. The patch will be around 1.6GB, so download it early.

Each function called using the commo rose will trigger a voice over action and an icon will appear as well (for instance, when calling for a medic, a medic icon will appear so other players can see you).

In addition to the new commo rose system, the new patch will also include improvements to the mini map, which will give a “clearer picture for players when using the mini-map”. There are now 3 mini map modes available, which you can see above. 

The patch will be released on the PlayStation 3 on March 27, while PC and Xbox 360 versions still don’t have a release date.

According to a post on the official Battlefield 3 Facebook page. DICE will be “rolling out several backend updates” in order to “lay the groundwork for the upcoming patch.” As a result, there will be some expected but minimal down-time.

Online services on the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3, including online multiplayer and Battlelog services, will be going offline during the following times on Tuesday, March 20th:

9 am UTC – 10am UTC

1am PST – 2am PST

According to DICE (via Twitter), the new Battlefield 3 patch is currently in certification at Microsoft and Sony, which means the patch is complete and only awaits the go-ahead from the console makers. Of course, the PC patch could be released earlier, but DICE likes to update all three platforms at the same time.

However, there's been some more news regarding the expansion packs, specifically Close Quarters, as it is being released in June. A list of weapons is currently available and is growing.
